Description: Flex and Contortion 201 is for students with a deeper level of flexibility who are looking to progress towards and work on beginning contortion poses. We will continue working with various stretching techniques to further flexibility with a strong emphasis on active flexibility control and core strength. Beginning and intermediate contortion poses will be introduced with a strong focus on chest stands, forearms stands, and hand balancing. Basic flexibility based tumbling will also be introduced. Classes will focus on active and passive flexibility, balancing both to create a strong contortion practice for the future. This class will work through a specific curriculum that is geared toward the strength, flexibility and specific requirements for Contortion 301, a longer 2-hour class focusing purely on contortion skills and tricks. Homework will be assigned for manageable short term goals that are a great way to motivated yourself to keep stretching and be able to see your long term progress.

All students registering MUST comply with the requirements above.
No exceptions will be made due to student safety and class progress. If you have any questions about requirements or the class, please contact chris@showcircusstudio.com directly.
